6 April to 4 August – Off the Wall – World of Wearable Art Up Close
Off the Wall is a tribute to the joy and energy of World of WearableArt™. In Off the Wall you’ll see anything from 20,664 plastic collar stays to twelve leather suitcases, from recycled wool sacks to wood, corrugated iron to kitchen utensils or taxidermied birds to sumptuous silks.

11 August – Michael Winslow
Michael Winslow has a unique talent for making noises – lots of them!!

Known as “The man of 10,000 Voices”and instantly recognizable for his role as Sgt. Larvelle “Motor Mouth” Jones in the ‘ Police Academy series of movies. Other movie and TV credits include a role in the science fiction parody Spaceballs,plus voiced roles in the Gremlins, The Simpsons, and Family Guy among others.

17 August – National Country Music Awards
One of the most prestigious events on the country music calendar, the 2013 National Country Music Awards will be held at Founders Theatre, Hamilton on Saturday August 17 and this year’s show will feature, for first time ever in New Zealand, a performance from International multi-award winning JUICE NEWTON!

24 August – The Great Living Legends Muck In
Living Legends is planting 170,000 native trees throughout New Zealand, honouring our Rugby Legends and leaving a legacy of New Zealand’s hosting of Rugby World Cup 2011. Our Rugby Legends have joined thousands of Kiwis to plant over 129,000 trees so far at our “Great Living Legends Muck Ins” in 2011 and 2012. We’re returning in 2013 to plant more native trees so come and join us!

31 August – HYDR8 Zero: David vs Goliath
Claudelands Arena will host the boxing match of the year when power-puncher David Tua takes on Goliath-sized Russian boxer Alexander Ustinov for the WBA Pan African Heavyweight Title on Saturday 31 August. Experience the action ringside for this much anticipated comeback by Tua, who has undergone a brutal 6-month training camp with Lee Parore. There will be no mucking about with tune-up fights, instead Tua will take on the IBF world number seven ranked Alexander Ustinov, who stands at 6 ft 8 inches tall.
